My mother died, my husband wanted a divorce AND I had to help my Dad moving forward with him having dementia. Brian Barbour was fantastic! I’m a first-time home buyer and didn’t know anything about the process. Add to that, I’m new to the area and going through that process by myself. I was looking in a pretty high cost of living area and really didn’t have a baseline for what was considered normal or what was outrageous. It all seemed expensive and a bit ridiculous to me. Once I linked up with Brian, it really felt like a had someone on my team. That’s probably the best way I can describe it. There was no pressure and he was genuinely concerned with whether I was happy with what we were looking at. I never felt like he was just trying to put me in a house and move on. During the walkthroughs of different listings, he could point out concerns or really nice features and if the listing’s agent was there, he would ask them probably more questions than I would about the place. Tom and Elliott killed it! If memory serves, from the first day we walked into our future home to getting our keys was 20 days, while checking all the boxes, including a VA inspection. I honestly can't say enough positive things about our experience. It was story book. For Toms part in it, he had our backs 100%. Unfortunately, my wife and I had other things in our lives keeping us very busy while we were going through escrow. However, don't let Tom's happy-go-lucky demeanor fool you. He was in communication with all other parties regularly, checking for updates and hashing out details, before reporting back to us on how things were progressing. There was only one moderate hiccup along the way (not at all his fault), and he handled it superbly. Tom even took the initiative and drove out to handle the final inspection for us since we were unable to make it and were up against a contingency for a quick sale. It was really nice to work with someone that kept things lighthearted, wasn't a stuffed suit, and still took care of business. Long story short, it is easy to believe that this purchase never would have happened if it weren't for Tom and Elliott pulling out all the stops. Stacy was hands down amazing, came prepared with an itinerary of our trip exploring homes. From the get go Stacy was straight forward and very understanding of what our needs where. Stacy worked diligently with our loan officer and escrow agent because I wanted to close as quick as possible because I was leaving out of town.
